Eagle Charge for Adam Brien
t was not so long ago
that I stood in this room to give an Eagle charge to a young man who had earned
the rank of Eagle. That young man was
Josh Brien; I am honored once again to issue a challenge--the Eagle Charge-- to
another very worthy young man--Adam Brien, Josh's brother.
Adam:
When you joined the ranks of the Boy Scouts of
America, you began a long journey -- one that began as a boy and ends as a man.
During that journey, you learned many things as a
Scout:
And you learned many other skills too numerous to
name.
But Adam, there are other things you have learned
as well:
Adam, we are all very proud of what you have
achieved in Scouting and so I will leave you with your charge as an Eagle:
Take these things that you have
learned; live them in your life so that you may be an example to others, and when
your time as a father comes, teach them to your children.
