Tree Sale update
Terry indicated that we did very well with the tree sale. Thank you to all that assisted in any way! All in all, we were really close to the budgeted profit. Wreaths did very well, especially the large and medium size. The potted trees were not successful for us.
Treasurer report
Terry shared the profit and loss statement that Donna provided, and we are under in expenses compared to budget. Donna is also sending the check for Disc Golf the committee agreed to fund for Camp Durant. The committee unanimously agreed with Donna’s proposal for $500 from the scholarship line to be contributed to the college trust fund for the Hodge boys. The committee agreed to purchase the Centennial Ring Emblem that Mr. Jewett recommended for each scout and adult leader.
Scoutmaster update
Chuck announced that the PLC elections have taken place and the yearly planning session is December 12, 2009. The new positions are:
Troop Level: Senior Patrol Leader - Jeffery Behm, Asst. Senior Patrol Leader – Colin Jennings
Vikings : PL – Addison Pierce, APL – Jacob Fulcher

Dragons: PL – Alec Dompka, APL – Kevin Parker
Appointed Positions: Librarian – Thomas Reiser, Quartermaster – Michael Campbell, Chaplain’s Aide – Nate McClintock, OA Troop Rep – Kyle Prock, Historian – Michael Bloemeke, Scribe – Michael Parker
The scouts wish to go to Camp Bonner prior to summer camp.
The troop is working on a patrol competition and how the scouts plan the meetings. Scout corners and game/activity are areas they are working on.
The Eagle COHs need to be improved, including better decorations and backdrops. Kathy agreed to look into a nice banner for the wall and a table header for the table up front. We also would like to borrow the Pack’s PA system for Eagle COH in the future. We decided to expense an Eagle Gift for all Eagles’ at a cost of $25 per scout. The scouts that earned their Eagle rank this year will receive their gift at the COH/Christmas Party on 12/21 and those earning Eagle going forward will receive theirs at the Eagle COH.
The proposal of a big out of state trip was talked about and the planning meeting will look at this. Older scout outings will also be discussed.
The Catholic Jamboree will also be discussed at the yearly planning meeting.
Committee Chair update
Terry reviewed the progress report and we need to make sure we have a first quarter community service project. The health fair at St. Raphael has asked the scouts to help. However, we don’t know details yet. Terry has been talking with the Paddle creek canoeing outfitter to see if we can help with an upcoming Falls Lake event. The church has asked the scouts to help set up for seating before and after Christmas service, more details to come on times for Dec 21 and Dec 26.
The COH Dec 21st will also be a Christmas party this year and all are invited. We are also inviting the Webelo II’s. The time will be moved up to 7:00pm. Also the Toy for Tot drive will be determined.
Troop Committee roles were shared and we still need many positions filled as some scouts are aging out. See Terry and attend committee meeting if you are interested. We need you!
An updated calendar will be posted to the website soon, with the camping locations for 2010.
Training update
The training report for both leaders and committee was shared. We need to ensure that all are up to date with training prior to re-charter. All registered adults need, AT A MINIMUM, Safe Environment Training (required by the Diocese) and Youth Protection Training (required every 2 years by BSA).
