Summer Camp 2008 camp
Camp Powhatan
This year the troop will be going to Camp Powhatan. The dates for camp are June 29-July 5, 2008. Camp Powhatan in the Blue Ridge Mountain Reservation which is near Hiwassee, Virginia and is approximately 210 miles from St Raphaels.

General guidance with merit badges is available at merit badge "dot" com. The first page is a complete list of all merit badges currently available, with the Eagle required listed in bold letters. After choosing your merit badge, it takes you to a page that lists the complete requirements for that badge, and at the bottom gives you topical links that would be of interest and relative to that badge, as well as a listing of other similar badges and then a link of merit badge helpers such as worksheets, tips, etc.

Costs and Payment Schedule

The first payment of $50.00 is due on January 21, 2008.

The second payment of $50.00 is due on March 24, 2008.

The third payment of $50.00 is due on April 21, 2008.

The balance is due on May 19, 2008.

The troop committee will decide on the troop subsidy to each scout after the Christmas Tree sale.

Requirements
To participate in the New River Adventure program, scouts must be 13 by Januaray 1st, 2008, pass the BSA swin test and have canoe experience.
To participate in the Claytor Lake, High Knoll or Mountain Man, scouts must be First Class and 13 by June 1st 2008.
