A camping trip to Mount Rogers was
held from November 17-19, 2000. Mount Rogers is in the Jefferson National Forest within a 154,000 acre
area called the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. It is the highest point in Virginia. We left at 6:00pm and return 2:00pm, Sunday. ... and of course, it was COLD there! |

| VA Creeper Cycling |

A cycling trip on the Virginia Creeper Trail (Damascus, VA)
was held from August 25-27, 2000. It cost $10 if you brought your own bike, $20 if you rented one. The Creeper
was once a Native American Footpath, pioneer route, and mountain railroad. We left at 6:00pm and camped at the U S Forest Service campground at Bearcreek. |

| White Water Rafting |
| A rafting trip took place from July 28-30, 2000 on the New River in West Virginia.
The trip was set up in two parts. Scouts 14 and older as of July 1, 2000 were eligible for the lower
New River; the rest of the troop did the upper New River. We left Friday morning between 7:00 and 8:00 and returned Sunday afternoon around 2:00 pm. Cost These fees cover the cost of the outfitter and food for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Payment |
