Camp Durant - November 11-13, 2005. |
The colors were at their peak on the Virginia Creeper trail, Damascus VA - October 21-23, 2005.
Despite the rain on Saturday, we were able to do our 25 mile bike ride. It was a little chilly, but that 4 miles
up the trail sure warmed you up quickly. If anyone figures out how to get that mud stripe completely out of the
clothes, please let everyone know. |
The Bear Island trip on September 23-25, 2005 was cancelled because of the damage done to the island by Hurricane Ophelia. We were able to go to Camp Cambell instead. Check out the pictures for all the dirty details. |
Everyone enjoyed the annual trip to Elizabeth City on August 19-21. A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Reid for their hospitality and I think the vote was unanimous that Mr. Poole really does make the best flounder in the world. |
The trip to Mount Mitchell on July 15-17, 2005 went real well. Even though we had some rain, we were able to camp beside and swim in a beautiful river. The hiking was good and the temperatures were cool. |
Troop participation at Summer Camp - June 19-25, 2005 was great and we were rewarded with great weather. Since most of the troop was able to make it to camp, our next court of honor will be quite busy. |

Everyone had a great time on the canoe trip to Buena Vista Virginia on May 13-15, 2005. The weather held out and everyone made it down the river, more or less intact. |
On April 8-10, 2005 we took a trip to Washington DC. We spent both nights at Bolling Air Force Base. The weather was perfect and the Cherry Blossoms were in bloom. We spent the day on the mall and saw the Air and Space Museum, the WWII memorial, the Lincoln memorial, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. |
We had a great weekend on March 11 - 13, at
Camp Durant
working on our rifle merit badge. We also retired a very large American Flag. Pictures should be available soon.
We were also pleased to be joined by a guest Assistant Scout Master from Jolly Old England. |
On February 11 - 13, we were at Camp Charles doing our Junior Leadership Training. |
